Nailed It: Asymmetric Scallop Nail Art Tutorial
Whenever we brainstorm new nail art tutorials around here, Rachel and I ever talk near the kinds of designs that would be the easiest to recreate at home that still make an touch on beyond just a solid color manicure.
And this i definitely checks off the boxes…it's piece of cake to pull off on your ain AND creates a pretty unique await that you can replicate over and over once again.
Click through for the stride by step tutorial on asymmetric scallop nails…
Materials
You'll need 2 smash polishes in your fave colors, a clear base glaze, and a summit coat.
Instructions
Prep nails with clear base glaze. Then paint each nail with your chosen base color. Wait for that glaze to dry completely before applying another coat if necessary.
Once nails are dry out, create the scallop design with the 2d boom polish color using quick upwardly strokes. Beginning on one side of the boom and work your way up toward the opposite side, creating shorter and shorter scallops every bit y'all become (like the motion-picture show). This volition create a unique, disproportionate look.
Nosotros only did 2-iii scallops per blast to keep it from getting too crazy.
Continue the process on all of your nails, then requite them a few minutes to dry out before calculation a tiptop top.
Pretty easy, right? Yous won't fifty-fifty demand any special tools…though you can always use a smash tool or paint brush to create the scallops if you prefer. It's really just a preference matter.
